Billions of euros are at risk of being diverted from wind, solar, and other green technologies to fossil fuels and nuclear energy, worsening the climate crisis and harming our environment.
This is because the EU is about to sign off on a list of ‘sustainable’ investments, which has been greenwashed by lobbyists from the fossil fuel and nuclear industry. The list labels fossil gas and nuclear as ‘green’ sectors, despite the high emissions from fossil gas and the radioactive waste produced by nuclear power.
The European Parliament will vote on this greenwashed list, known as the ‘taxonomy’, in a few weeks. We need at least 353 Members of Parliament (MEPs) to vote against this proposal to make a majority, or fossil gas and nuclear energy will be officially labeled as green by the EU, opening the door to massive investments in them.
In a few weeks, the European Parliament will vote on this greenwashed list, known as the ‘taxonomy’.
We need at least 353 Members of Parliament (MEPs) to vote NO against this proposal (technically to ‘veto’ the proposal) to make a majority.
If we fail, fossil gas and nuclear energy will be officially labelled as green by the EU, opening the door to massive investments in them at the expense of renewables.
We must convince 353 MEPs to vote NO to the greenwashed taxonomy list.
Here you can find the complete list of MEPs and their voting intentions.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
WHAT CAN YOU DO
These days what we need to do is to raise our voices and tell our MEPs that we are not with this taxonomy.
True green energies must be subsidised by the European Union. Those who speculate should not.
If each of us sends an email or a tweet to our MEPs, they will have their inboxes filled with thousands and thousands of messages from concerned European citizens and will have to show that they are there to defend our rights.
Tweet or email undecided MEPs and demand that they vote NO on the greenwashed taxonomy.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT
After four months, the Delegated Act automatically becomes law if the European Parliament does not reject it.
There are two key dates for votes in the European
Parliament that we are focusing on:
Lead committees ENVI and ECON vote a resolution to block the Greenwashing Act and win with an absolute majority (76-62)
Plenary vote in Strasbourg.
The Parliament will make a final decision during this vote.
